Six design and build technologies that make every working day better. We helped make their website work harder at telling their story in a powerful and engaging way.
Tacon Design were working on a rebrand for Six Consulting (formerly KnackTek). They commissioned us to help shape their brand and website.
First up, we worked with Tacon Design to come up with a new name. Core to Six’s work is the notion of connectivity. The name ‘Six’ sprang from one of their key brand positioning statements, ‘connected thinking’, and developed from the idea of six degrees of separation.
Next, with the brand positioning and visual identity already created by Tacon Design, we set about designing the user experience for the website. We took the time to understand the current and potential user’s needs, and how they navigate and interact with the website. Our research highlighted that Six had totally outgrown their old website, so we developed the site’s information architecture (IA) and a new content plan from scratch.
We then worked closely with Gemma from Tacon Design on the user interface designs, and created a simple pattern library that could be implemented by Six’s in-house development team.
We liked: Getting involved at such an early stage of the branding process. It helped us think clearly about the site content and produce some of our best creative.
